Segerstrom Center for the Arts
A Symphony of Gratitude
The Segerstrom Center for Arts sought to revitalize its donor recognition program, replacing an outdated aesthetic with a dynamic and easily updatable system that would also enhance the lobby experience for patrons. The project objective was to achieve this transformation while streamlining future updates. WeidnerCA leveraged 3D modeling and real-time rendering technology to create a digital double, overcoming complex fabrication hurdles and providing stakeholders with an interactive platform for reviewing concepts before production and installation. This innovative approach facilitated seamless collaboration and informed decision-making throughout the process. The donor experience itself is a captivating spectacle, encompassing over 600 square feet of high-resolution LED modular displays installed in partnership with Diversified and Nanolumens.
The design seamlessly integrates artistic elements with the Center's mission, incorporating horizontal bars reminiscent of sheet music and vertical panels symbolizing musical notes. Animated content, carefully curated and directed by WeidnerCA in collaboration with content creators Launchvox, celebrates the dynamic nature of performance and brings the space to life. The immersive digital experience provides a vibrant backdrop for the lobby, fostering a sense of engagement and excitement among patrons. This project demonstrates the power of digital technology to transform physical spaces into immersive and interactive environments, creating a memorable and impactful experience for donors and visitors alike. It serves as a prime example of how innovation and artistry can be combined to enhance audience engagement and appreciation for the arts.
