Ellison Conservation Center for Wildlife Care

Ethereal artwork converges with nature and wildlife care.

The inspiration for this project was drawn from the native aviary species of Saratoga and the donor's love of Japanese-style art and architecture. Featuring elegant brush strokes and an ethereal, lasting color palette, this welcoming point exudes serenity and elegance.

The 40-foot mural is hand painted by Sacramento-based fine artist, Raphael Delgado. The artist’s conceptual narrative for the work is rooted in honoring California’s sacred wildlife; through intricacy and color variations, the mural exudes a sense of organic permanence, and life.
